    🔖 Care Tips

Hydroponic cultivation is possible. 1. Carefully remove soil from the roots to avoid damage, and stabilize them with materials like hydroballs for better growth. 2. Do not fully submerge the roots in water; keep only 50-60% submerged to allow them to breathe. 3. Use tap water that has been left out for a day, and opt for opaque containers over transparent ones, as light can alter the temperature and harm the roots. 4. Change the water every 7-14 days for maintenance.

    🏝️ Habitat Conditions

This plant grows in the tropical rainforests of the Western Pacific. It prefers warm and humid environments. Originally, it climbs trees, so it's beneficial to provide a support for it to climb upwards. It thrives better with prolonged indirect light rather than strong direct light.

    🪨 Soil Mix

When planting, it's best to use well-draining soil. Generally, mix 40% potting soil, 20% bark, 20% leaf mold, 10% perlite, and 10% charcoal. However, you can adjust the ratios based on the situation and environment.

    🌡️ Environment

This plant thrives at 21-25°C and can tolerate up to 35°C. In winter, it can grow above 16°C, and maintaining it at 10-12°C is good for ornamental purposes. It can survive at 7-8°C when the soil is dry, but it may get damaged by the cold, so it's best to keep it above 13°C. Variegated plants are more sensitive to cold, so increase the temperature by 2-3°C. Maintain humidity at 50-70%. This plant prefers a humid environment like a rainforest. However, ensure good air circulation to prevent mold growth.

    👀 Characteristics details

This plant is a climbing vine with aerial roots. You can support it with a trellis or grow it as a hanging plant. Using a support will result in larger leaves. Typically, leaves are about 7.5 cm, but in nature, they can grow up to 75 cm. Mature leaves naturally develop holes between the veins, similar to a Monstera.

    ☀️ Light

This plant grows well in both bright and dark places. However, variegated types may lose their patterns if they don't receive enough light.

    💧 Water

When the surface soil is dry, water the plant thoroughly. Drooping and thinning leaves or a lighter pot are signs of water deficiency. In such cases, water immediately.

    🌱 Propagate

Propagation is typically done by separating a stem with a length of 3-5 cm and aerial roots about 2 cm long. 1. For water propagation, avoid using a transparent container. Place the stem in water, and once roots appear, add hydroponic fertilizer. When roots reach 5-7 cm, transfer the plant to soil. 2. For soil propagation, plant the stem deeply in soil without fertilizer. After propagation, avoid exposing the plant to bright light. Gradually increase light exposure to help it adapt to gentle light. Maintain high humidity and keep the temperature between 20-25°C.

    🪴 Repot

Repot every 1-2 years in spring due to its relatively fast growth.

    💊 Fertilize

This plant requires a lot of fertilizer. Using fertilizer at the recommended amount at least once every three months will promote more vigorous growth.

    🌺 Flower

It is very difficult to see the flowers as they rarely bloom. Even with the right temperature and light, this plant blooms only when it wants, making it one of the hardest plants to see in bloom.

    😵 Toxicity

Be cautious with pets and young children as it is toxic.
